The University of Sydney International Scholarship (USydIS) is funded by the University of Sydney and provides tuition fees offset and stipend to good quality international postgraduate students who desire to enrol in or are now enrolled in a study degree at the University.

For 2021 awards, the scholarship is valued at $35,000 per annum. The USydIS will cover tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years with a possibility of one semester’s extension for PhD students.
University of Sydney International Scholarship Eligibility:
- • be a commencing or enrolled international student
- • have an outstanding record of academic achievement and research potential
- • have an unconditional offer of admission or be currently enrolled in a master’s by research or PhD at the University of Sydney.
University of Sydney International Scholarship Application instructions:
Commencing students should choose the check box to be looked at for research scholarships when completing the admission application for the postgraduate research degree. Another application isn’t required. Applications are open throughout every season, with scholarships awarded all year round.
